Terms of service
Last updated 17 August 2026
These terms cover the use of AccessPadi by estates and by the residents and staff of those estates. By using the service you agree to them.
Who these terms are with
AccessPadi is provided to an estate. Residents, gate staff and administrators use it through their estate's account. If your estate stops using AccessPadi, your access ends with it.
Accounts
- Accounts are created either by an estate administrator or through a single-use invitation sent to your email address.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
- Tell your estate administrator immediately if you think someone else has access to your account.
- An estate administrator can suspend or remove an account belonging to their estate at any time.
Access codes
Codes are a convenience for the gate, not a security guarantee. An estate remains responsible for its own physical security and for the conduct of its gate staff.
- Only create a code for a visitor you actually expect.
- Do not share a code publicly or pass it to someone it was not created for.
- Your estate can cancel any code, and can replace the estate-wide codes at any time.
Subscriptions and payment
- Estates subscribe on a monthly or yearly cycle. Prices are shown on our pricing page and are in naira.
- Payment is taken through Paystack, or by an offline method we agree with you and record manually.
- A subscription that is not paid enters a grace period. After it ends, the estate keeps every record it has but cannot create anything new until it pays.
- We do not delete an estate’s data because a subscription lapsed.
- A new estate gets a free trial of the paid features. Resident and staff allowances stay at the free level during the trial.
Estate levies
Levies and dues collected through AccessPadi are between an estate and its residents. We provide the tools to record and collect them. We are not a party to that arrangement, we do not decide what an estate charges, and we do not adjudicate disputes about it.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to harass anyone, or to gain access to a property you are not entitled to enter.
- Do not attempt to reach another estate’s data, or to interfere with the service.
- Do not upload email addresses to invite people who have not agreed to be contacted about the estate.
We may suspend an account or an estate that breaks these rules.
Availability
We work to keep AccessPadi available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, network problems and provider outages happen. Your estate should keep a way of admitting visitors that does not depend on us.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, AccessPadi is provided as it is. We are not liable for losses arising from who your gate did or did not admit, from an estate's own decisions, or from a period when the service was unavailable.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending your use
An estate can stop its subscription at any time and keeps access until the end of the period it has paid for. We may end an account that breaks these terms or does not pay.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to estate administrators by email, and the date at the top of this page will change.
